The color-coated galvanized steel coil is a product made of a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet after chemical surface treatment, the organic coating is applied on the surface and then baked and cured. We supply all RAL colors and can produce special patterns such as woodgrain, floral, camouflage, and brick. The surface coating is larger than 20μm, which can prevent the intrusion of corrosive media. Due to the different anti-corrosion mechanisms of the primer layer and the topcoat layer, not only the total coating thickness must be ensured, but also the thickness of the primer layer (>5μm) and the topcoat layer (>15μm).
PVDF pre-coated steel coils require thicker coatings. It provides a longer service life. The requirement for a backside paint coat depends on the application, only one coat of primer is required for sandwich panels. Formed steel requires two coats. The thickness is at least greater than 10 μm. The protective film is a transparent or colored plastic film coated on the surface of the color-coated galvanized steel coil. The purpose is to prevent scratching of the painted topcoat during cold roll forming. The thickness of our plastic film is 30 microns, 40 microns, 50 microns, 60 microns, and 80 microns. We mainly use PE, SMP, and PVDF three kinds of coatings to produce PPGI coils.
Polyester (PE) coatings are the cheapest for common residential roofing and cannot withstand harsh environments. Silicone-modified polyester (SMP) coatings include high weather resistance and ultra-high weather resistance coatings, which can be used in high temperature, severe cold, hot and humid, and extremely cold regions. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) coatings are highly resistant to corrosion and heat, and are the most expensive. Suitable for hot and humid, high temperature, rainy countries.
