Aluzinc Steel Coil

The galvalume sheet comes in a variety of thicknesses. The thickness of the galvalume coating is expressed by AZ+ numbers. According to ASTM A792 standard, AZ50 galvalume refers to 0.50 ounces of aluminum-zinc coating per square foot (both sides); AZ150 means 1.5 ounces of aluminum-zinc coating weight per square foot on both sides. In general, the higher the number, the thicker the Al-Zn coating. Coating thickness greatly affects the protection effect on the substrate. That is, the thicker the coating, the better the durability. Therefore, AZ150 will be more durable and more expensive than AZ50.
The AZ50 is not the same as the G50 due to the different densities of the zinc layer and the galvalume layer. The thickness of G50 galvanized steel is 10.6μm on each side. The thickness of the Al-Zn layer of AZ50 is approximately 20μm per side. This is why the AZ50 will be more durable and more expensive than the G50.

Similar to galvanized steel, an aluminum-zinc coating protects the base metal. Especially when the zinc layer wears away, a dense layer of aluminum oxide will form to prevent further corrosion of the base metal. Facts have proven that the service life of GL steel is 3 times that of GI steel. This is why GL steel is the preferred choice in harsh environments.
2. Good heat resistance
Galvalume steel has good heat resistance can withstand temperatures above 300 degrees Celsius, and is commonly used in chimney pipes, oven lighting, and lampshades.
3. High heat reflectivity
GL’s heat reflectivity is twice that of galvanized steel, so it is often used as a thermal insulation material. Therefore, it is a better choice for roofs in hot climates.
4. Beautiful appearance
GL steel has a smooth surface with sequins, which is beautiful. So it can be used directly without painting.
